Reba's Health Tips (During Back-to-School)!
My Top Tips for Health (Especially During Back-to-School Season)
There’s TOO MUCH health & wellness information out there these days and it feels so overwhelming! So let’s simplify. Here are my top back-to-school tips to keep your health on track without burning out:
1. Don’t do everything at once.
Yes. I binge all the "fitness guru's" on Mel Robbins podcast too. I hear one thing from a "specialist" get overwhelmed with allllll the fitness info and.totally shut down. Yes, in a perfect world we’d all wake up at 5 a.m., crush a workout, hit our protein goals, and get 8 hours of sleep every night. But guess what? We’re not robots. Life happens—kids, work, travel, a night out with friends, hormones, sleepless nights. Pick one or two goals per week and focus on it, For me movement is always a priority. Because when I move, I sleep better, I binge eat less, I'm more productive t work- but that's just me!
2. Do what works for YOU.
It’s easy to get caught up in the latest trend, but your body isn’t Instagram. Think about what has worked for you in the past, what has made you feel better and more powerful and build from there. Consistency with what you know works better than chasing what worked for someone else! Every. Single. Time.
3. Be Honest.
I’ve heard every excuse in the world—seriously, I’ve heard it all. Be honest with yourself: do you really not have time, or are you just not prioritizing it? And don’t worry, I lie to myself too. Sometimes I have to laugh and say, “Reba… the real reason you’re grumpy today is because you stayed up late watching that extra episode of White Lotus.” Own it, reset, and move forward.
4. Plan ahead.
I know, it’s a classic tip—but it works. Book your classes for the week, put workouts on your calendar, and figure out carpools in advance. Scheduling movement is the key to making sure it actually happens.
